ADV - Aquatic Ecology and Biodiversity

Aquatic Ecology and Biodiversity website

8793 Owl Avenue
Meadowlands, MN 55765

Wetlands, lakes, rivers, and streams dot Minnesota’s landscape. These aquatic ecosystems are incredibly important for humans and animals alike! But, have you ever had a chance to wade into the muck and see what lives in the ponds and streams you see every day? This training will focus on learning how to identify wetlands, streams, and lakes as well as serve as an exploration of the aquatic biodiversity therein!

Plan on getting wet during this field trip! Rubber boots or water shoes will be useful. Bringing an extra pair of shoes for use in muddy areas might also work great for our day. There will be indoor and outdoor portions to this class, with investigations of species taking place in and out of the field. Walking, bushwacking, and muddy feet are to be expected. Plan on bringing lunch and any other snacks/water you may need for the day.

The course cost is $35 and includes course manuals and supplies.
